A single moment changed everything.
It takes only a moment for life to stop being the way we knew it. Ana was a passenger when a car accident turned a joyful artist into a seriously injured patient.
Today, instead of sharing her joy from the stage, she is lying in a hospital room. Every breath takes strength and every movement is a struggle. Yet the operations and hospital stay are only the beginning.
Music is her life
Ana never simply sang. On stage, she came alive.
Anyone who knows the Serbian duo Alice in WonderBand or the Polish-Serbian quartet Slavyk knows Ana’s energy. She sings, dances, plays instruments and fills audiences with her joy, spontaneity and authenticity.
Ana is a woman of great experience, warmth and extraordinary humour. She has often helped others. Now she is the one who needs help.
The road ahead
The hardest part begins now.
Ana suffered serious injuries to her spine, ribs, kidney and skin. A long period of intensive medical treatment and rehabilitation lies ahead.
Rehabilitation immediately after the operations is crucial if Ana is to regain as much mobility and independence as possible. The public healthcare system cannot provide the intensity of therapy her injuries require.

- Traumatic subcutaneous emphysema
- Fracture of a thoracic vertebra
- Displaced fractures of the L1–L5 lumbar vertebrae
- Traumatic injury to the left kidney
- Friction burns affecting approximately 12% of the body surface
- Anaemia
- Fractures of the left seventh and eighth ribs

Who is behind this campaign?
Kathryn Döhner
Organises the campaign and the documented transfer of donations.
We are Kathryn, Lukasz, Martyna and Andreas – musicians, artists and friends of Ana and Marko. As PayPal does not support fundraising campaigns for Serbian accounts, Kathryn Döhner has agreed to manage the campaign through her German account.
Kathryn will transfer all the money directly to Ana. She is in close contact with Marko and Ana. Together, they decided that this is the best way to get the money to Ana as quickly as possible.
